As a child, I knew there was something more, something deeper

Since I was a child, I’ve adored water. Specifically waterfalls, rivers and streams; any kind of in land, moving water. As a child I loved to put my feet and hands into the water so that I could feel connected to the fae, the land, and looking back I think it connected me to my womb and mother line.

I think deep down, it was connecting me to something much deeper. I didn’t know it yet, but i could feel it in my body.

As I grew older, and the rivers became darker, the waters had rubbish floating in them, caught in the reeds and I wanted to touch the waters less and less.

I became older, and slowly, my connection became disconnection.

What I’ve noticed is, today, the stronger my connection to womb gets, the more I want to get back in the waters, the more I want to touch and feel the waters dancing around on my skin. The more I recognise and release pain, the more the water calls to me. The more we acknowledge and listen to our child self, the more in tune we can become and we can reconnect with the water.

If you feel connected to the waters too- then I urge you to check out voices of water:

They're doing some amazing work for our beautiful rivers
