Women are afraid of other women, and this is known as one of the witch wounds.

We’ve all been there, afraid of the gossip, judgment, and being seen by other women, but at the same time having the longing and need for connection with like-minded women and sisters.

I believe that when we come together in a safe space, we can heal each other, and in healing the women, we can heal the world.

This is one of my main inspirations for holding women’s circles and one of my main reasons for creating Gather and Grow with Sarah Haile.

With Gather and Grow, we’re coming together as sisters and breaking the cycles of fear and judgment of our fellow women.

We’re coming together not just to break patterns, but to create together and cheerlead each other on.

Being a self-employed woman, especially in the wellness space, can feel lonely and sometimes scary—but with Gather and Grow, we’re changing this into a space for creation, connection, and community.

In my experience, when I was new coming into the wellness/self-employed space, I really felt alone, misunderstood, and unheard.

I felt pressure and judgment, and I was putting other self-employed women on pedestals and comparing myself to them.

I felt like they were judging me and talking about how I was copying them or that I wasn’t good at what I do.

But then I started connecting—NOT networking—actually connecting with these women, talking to them, and hearing their loves and passions.

And then something magical happened—I started hearing their struggles.

I started to hear these women, these leaders that I had put so high on a pedestal, I heard their struggles too.

And guess what?

They were the same as mine.
